Everything your craft files need, in one library
CraftKeep stores, organizes, previews and exports files for embroidery, SVG and graphics, vinyl, laser and 3D printing. Here is what it does and how each part helps.
A library shaped like your craft
Designs are grouped the way crafters already talk about them, so you browse by who made it and what it is, not by download date.
Maker
Maple Hollow Designs
The designer or shop the files came from.
Series
Forest Friends
A collection, bundle or project from that maker.
Design package
Woodland Fox
One design, with every size, format and extra.
Files
PES, DST, SVG, STL, PDF, MP4
The originals, exactly as you uploaded them.
A design package holds everything that belongs to one design: each hoop size and machine format, the cut file, the 3D model, the instructions PDF and the tutorial video. You see one design, not a pile of files.
Packages also hold variants. A 4x4 and a 5x7 version of the same design sit side by side and share the same instructions, so you can pick the one you need without hunting.
Maker and design names on this page are illustrative examples.
Import that does the sorting for you
Upload files, whole folders or a maker's ZIP exactly as you downloaded it. CraftKeep reads the folder names and files inside and suggests how to group them.
Suggested grouping you stay in charge of
Before anything is final you see the proposed maker, series and packages. Accept the suggestion in one step or correct it. When CraftKeep is unsure, it asks instead of guessing.
Clean names, originals kept
Every file keeps its exact original name. CraftKeep adds a standardized name alongside it, built from the design, variant and format, so a messy folder reads clearly. When you export, you choose which name to use.
- Original
- Fox FINAL(2).DST
- Standardized
- woodland-fox_5x7.dst
Example names.
Search that speaks craft
One search box covers every part of your library, and each design shows up once, however many formats it has.
Search the way you remember it
- Maker: maple hollow
- Series: forest friends
- Design: woodland fox
- Theme: autumn
- Old filename: fox FINAL(2)
- Craft term: ith
- Forgiving of typos. A slip of the finger still finds the design.
- Knows craft words. Searching ITH also finds in-the-hoop designs.
- Reads your instructions. Text inside eligible PDFs and text files is searchable too, while design and maker names rank first.
One card per design, with the reason it matched
Ten machine formats of one design give you one result, not ten. Each card says what matched, so you know why it is there.
Woodland Fox
Maple Hollow Designs / Forest Friends
Matched fox FINAL(2) in an original filename.
Example of a search result at launch.
Previews that tell you what they are
See a design before you download it. Every preview is labelled with where it came from, so a render is never mistaken for a photo.
Technical render
Drawn by CraftKeep from the file itself, such as a stitch render, a cut-path picture or a 3D model thumbnail.
Maker artwork
The product photo or mockup the maker included in the download, shown as the cover when it is the most helpful view.
Fallback
A clear placeholder for files CraftKeep stores but does not draw, so you always know what you are looking at.
Preview support is confirmed format by format. The supported formats page shows exactly what each file type gets.
Safe in the cloud, with a way back
Your library lives in cloud storage, so it is the same on your computer, tablet and phone browser.
Versions. Replace a file and the earlier version stays available. Restoring an older version adds it as the newest one, so your history is never overwritten.
Trash. Deleted designs go to Trash first, where you can restore them.
Private sharing
Your library is private by default. When you want to share a design, you choose what to share and with whom. Shares are view-only by default, and you can turn a share off whenever you like.
Shared guild libraries are coming in a later release. Learn about guilds
From the cloud to your machine
Download what you need in a click from any browser, or send it straight to a USB drive with the desktop app.
Desktop app for Windows and macOS
Pick a design, a collection or a set of search results, choose your machine's formats, and export to a USB drive. Only the formats your machine reads are copied, along with shared instructions if you want them.
Your folders, your names
Export into maker, series and design folders, a flat machine-ready list, or your original folder layout. Use original or standardized filenames. Each copy is checked as it is written, and CraftKeep never formats your drive.
