How CraftKeep works
Start with the downloads you already have. There is no setup wizard and no tagging homework: upload, and CraftKeep suggests the sorting.
Four steps from messy downloads to a library
- 1
Sign up
Create an account on the Free plan with 1 GB of storage. No commitment, no card. Upgrade later only if your library needs more room.
- 2
Upload
Drag in files, whole folders or a maker's ZIP, or use the upload button. CraftKeep suggests how to group everything into makers, series and design packages. Accept the suggestion or correct it before it is saved.
- 3
Find and preview
Search by maker, series, design, theme or an old filename. Open a design to see labelled previews of its files without downloading anything.
- 4
Download, export or share
Download the file you need from any browser, export your machine's formats to a USB drive with the desktop app for Windows and macOS, or share a design privately.
Example: one maker ZIP becomes one design package
A single download often mixes machine formats, a cut file, a 3D model, instructions and a video. Here is how CraftKeep brings them together.
WoodlandFox_bundle.zip
What you upload, as downloaded
- fox_4x4.pesEmbroidery
- fox_5x7.pesEmbroidery

Woodland Fox
One design package, one search result
- Variants
- 4x4 and 5x7
- Formats
- PES, DST, SVG, STL
- Shared with every variant
- Instructions PDF and tutorial video
Every original file and filename is kept exactly as it arrived. CraftKeep adds clean, standardized names alongside them, and when you export you choose which names to use.
How grouping is suggested
If your files are already in folders, CraftKeep follows them. If they are not, it reads the names and files to make its best suggestion.
A folder you upload
- Maple Hollow Designs/
- Forest Friends/
- Woodland Fox/
- fox_5x7.pes, fox_cut.svg, Instructions.pdf
- Maker / Series / Design
- The first folder becomes the maker, the next the series, and the folder holding the files becomes the design package.
- You review before it is saved
- Accept the whole suggestion at once or fix any part of it. When something is unclear, CraftKeep asks rather than merging files on its own.
- Change your mind later
- Rename a maker or move a design to another series at any time. Your original files are never touched.
