One shared library for your guild or club
Quilting guilds, embroidery clubs and maker groups will be able to keep their patterns and designs in one organized place, with roles that fit how your group works.
Guild libraries are coming in a later release, after CraftKeep's personal libraries open. This page describes how they are being designed.
Shared, without sharing everything
Each member keeps a personal library. The guild library sits beside it with its own permissions.
A member sees the guild library they have been given access to, and nothing else. Their own designs stay private unless they choose to add something to the guild.
Everything you know from your personal library works in the guild one too: designs grouped by maker and series, one search result per design, labelled previews and easy downloads.
Roles for every kind of member
Five roles keep a guild library organized without making anyone an administrator by accident. The details of each role are finalized before guilds launch.
- Owner
- Sets up the guild library, invites people and decides who holds each role.
- Admin
- Helps run the library day to day: managing members and keeping things tidy.
- Contributor
- Adds designs and patterns to the shared library for everyone to use.
- Member
- Takes part in the guild and uses the designs it shares.
- Viewer
- Browses and previews what the guild has chosen to show.
Respect for makers' licenses
Many designs are licensed for personal use only. Guild libraries are being built to help groups share what they are allowed to share.
- Each design package carries its maker, source and license notes, so everyone can see where it came from.
- Adding a design to a guild asks you to confirm you have the right to share it.
- Makers can report a design shared without permission, and it is taken out of view while it is reviewed.
Plans for guilds
Guild pricing is quoted for each group, so it fits the way your guild is set up.
Guild owners will need a Pro or Studio plan.
Pro and Studio: 12-month minimum term, billed monthly. This is a commitment to 12 monthly payments, not an annual prepayment.
Members can be on any plan, including Free.
